Biographical / historical:

Milton Frank Kemble (1829-1888) was born in Elkton, Ohio, on July 15, 1829. He spent most of his life in Kansas and Oskaloosa, Iowa, and made occasional trips to Santa Clara County, California. He dedicated a great deal of his time to farming and taking notes on the weather and land. He died in July 1888.
