Scope and content:

Photographs belonging to Frank J. Wiens, mostly of Mennonite Brethren mission work in China during the 1920s and 1930s. Also includes some photographs taken in North America as well as on board ships traveling between North America and China.

Biographical / historical:

F. J. and Agnes Wiens served as Mennonite Brethren missionaries in China from 1921 to 1927, and again from 1934 to 1935, when Agnes Wiens died there. F. J. Wiens remained in China until 1940.
