Scope and content:

The collection consists of burial and cemetery sites collected from various sources by Larry V. Richardson. The majority of the records are Butte County, particularly the Chico Cemetery where Larry V. Richardson worked for many years. Early records of the Chico Cemetery were lost in a fire in 1883.

Biographical / historical:

Lawrence Vincent Richardson 1919-2003, the son of Alonzo Allen Richardson and Annie Belle Smith Richardson was a member of the Richardson Family which developed the Richardson Springs Resort, Chico, California. He was the Chico Cemetery historian where he was employed for many years. He was a charter member of the Paradise Genealogical Society and a member of Committee on Genealogy Historical Society.
