Background

Biographical / historical:

Frederick Gustav Stark was a Chief Master Sergeant and Loadmaster in the U.S. Air Force. He served for 23 years, during the Korea-Vietnam era. As an Aircraft Loadmaster he worked on several airlift aircraft supporting testing, military training and operations worldwide. He retired as a C-5 initial cadre Loadmaster on the C-5 test program. In 1955, he survived a plane accident while serving in Greenland.

The materials in this collection were donated to the San Diego Air Space Museum in July, 2021.
