Scope and content:

Collection consists mostly of Torregian's poems, writings, journals, and other notes. Also included are correspondence and artwork by Torregian.

Biographical / historical:

Sotere Torregian (b. 1941) is an American poet from New Jersey. He attended Rutgers University, and taught briefly at the Free University of New York and Stanford University, where he helped establish the Afro-American studies program in 1969 with anthropologist St. Clair Drake.
