Background

Scope and content:

This collection contains material related to Gen. Nikolai Yudenich's Army of the North-West, during the period of 1919-1920. It includes correspondence, reports, charts and maps dealing with military action on the Petrograd front, military action and conflicts in the Baltic area and Finland and relations between the Army of the North-West and its European allies, especially England and France. The collection was first arranged by Lieut.-Gen. Nikolai Golovin and described in two volumes entitled "Podrobnaia Opis' Del Arkhiva Severo-Zapadnago Fronta Grazhdanskoi Voiny v Rossii 1919 I 1920 Godov. S Kratkim Izlozheniem Soderzhaniia Vsekh Dokumentov Imeiushchikh Istoricheskoe Znachenie", which can be found in Box 25. The present register fully retains Gen. Golovin's arrangement, in which the material is divided into files and each page numbered consecutively.
