Scope and content:

The Robert Glasheen Photograph Collection contains images of UC San Diego faculty, staff, campus life, buildings, and events taken between 1964 and 1986 by Robert Glasheen. Also included are negatives from Glasheen's commercial studio in La Jolla.

Arranged in nine series: 1) PORTRAITS, 2) GROUP PORTRAITS, 3) BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS, 4) EVENTS, 5) COLOR SLIDES, 6) PRINTS, 7) CONTACT SHEETS, 8) OVERSIZE PRINTS, and 9) COMMERCIAL STUDIO NEGATIVES.

Biographical / historical:

Robert Glasheen provided photographic services to the University of California, San Diego between 1964 and 1986. He operated a business in La Jolla called Glasheen Graphics and usually worked on a fee-for-service basis for the Public Information Office.
