Scope and content:

This collection includes engravings, photographs, letters of request and responses, and the autographs of historical figures from the 1870's through the 1980's, including U.S. Presidents, European Royalty, U.S. Supreme Court Justices, and authors. Prominent figures include Neil Armstrong, George Bush, Jimmy Carter, Grover Cleveland, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Queen Elizabeth of England, Herbert Hoover, Henry Kissinger, Thurgood Marshall, Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Theodore Roosevelt, Babe Ruth and Tennessee Williams.

Biographical / historical:

Collectors include four generations: Mr. Samuel Harris (donor's grandfather), Mrs. Charles Victorius (donor's mother), Miss Lorna Victorius (donor's sister), and Sol Sender (donor's grandson).
