Otto Maull (1887-1957) was a German geologist and author who spent time in Latin America, which resulted in the publication of Die Landschaften Mittel-Brasiliens: Ergebnisse einer Forschungsreise 1923 (1925) and Vom Itatiaya zum Paraguay: ergebnisse und erlebnisse einer forschungsreise durch Mittelbrasilien (1930). The collection consists of manuscripts, notes, pamphlets, reprints, offprints, newspapers, magazines, and clippings mostly in German, about South America, and one folder about Canada.

Scope and content:

Collection consists of manuscripts, notes, pamphlets, reprints, offprints, newspapers, magazines, and clippings mostly in German, about South America, and one folder about Canada. Much of the collection concerns Brazil, including German schools in Brazil and travel. Also includes materials relating to German organizations in Brazil and other South American countries, and institutes in Germany with a Latin American orientation.

Maull was a German geologist and author who spent time in Latin America, which resulted in the publication of Die Landschaften Mittel-Brasiliens: Ergebnisse einer Forschungsreise 1923 (1925) and Vom Itatiaya zum Paraguay: ergebnisse und erlebnisse einer forschungsreise durch Mittelbrasilien (1930); he died in 1957.
