Record Series 433 contains the 1963-1978 correspondence of Gerald Estrin, Chair of UCLA's Computer Science Department.

Biographical / historical:

Dr. Gerald Estrin joined the UCLA Faculty in 1956 and in 1979 received University-wide recognition when the Regents approved his appointment as an Above Scale Professor. He served as Chairperson of the UCLA Computer Science Department from 1979-1982 and from 1985-1988. In 1991, Dr. Estrin retired and was recalled as Professor Emeritus.
