The Shapiro Family collection of ephemera is part of a book collection of mostly children's books from the early part of the twentieth century. The ephemera collection consists of postcards, newspapers, sheet music, some of which contains the name Shapiro, pamphlets, a hand written textbook, a scrapbook, puzzles and cardboard cutouts.

Collection contains holiday and generic postcards from the 1930s, one photograph in an envelope, newspapers dated 1792, 1888, 1794, 1861, 1802, 1827, 1840, newspaper clippings, a broadside, sheet music, a Yale University Bi-centennial, 1701-1901 metal pin with blue ribbon, pamphlets, a magazine, a textbook, a scrapbook from 1898, horse puzzles, and cardboard cutouts of a town scene.
