Abstract:

This collection comprises the records of Chancellor Michael V. Drake, who became the fifth Chancellor of the University of California, Irvine on July 1, 2005. Included are subject files, chronological meeting files, photographs and digital media mostly from Drake's first two years in office, although there is some correspondence from 2010 and 2014 also. In addition, it contains artifacts such as plaques, certificates, and awards given to Chancellor Drake during his term at UCI. There are also a few photographs and magazine articles about him, and one CD containing photos and a short video clip of the UCI Africa Initiative, dated 2006 and 2010.
