Biographical / historical:

Ouspenskaya was born July 29, 1876 in Tula, Russia; she came to the U.S. in 1923 with the Moscow Art Theater; performed on Broadway and ran a New York acting school before going to Hollywood, California, in 1936; films include: Dodsworth (1936), Conquest (1937), Love affair (1939), Dr. Ehrlich's magic bullet (1940), The wolf man (1941), Kings row (1942), Frankenstein meets the wolf man (1943), I've always loved you (1946), and A kiss in the dark (1949); she died in 1949.
