These materials were originally sent to the president's office at Stanford University.

Biographical / historical:

The AAWU, a successor to the Pacific Coast Conference, was founded on July 1, 1959 with Cal, Stanford, UCLA, USC and Washington as charter members. Washington State joined in 1962; Oregon and Oregon State joined in 1964. The name was changed again in 1968 to Pacific-8 Conference.
