Scope and content:

Gilfillan, Stanford Class of 1912, was an electronics manufacturer and developer of an airport radar landing system. He was a frequent contributor to Stanford's programs in electronics and electrical engineering.

Biographical / historical:

Correspondence with Frederick E. Terman and David S. Jacobson regarding Gilfillan's contributions to scholarships for electrical engineering students and the Gilfillan Wing of the Electronics Laboratory; some of Terman's letters concern faculty and research projects of the department. Also includes two articles about Gilfillan.
