Scope and content:

This collection includes a DVD transfer of the original videorecording done by Harley Goes and Bo Parker and a transcript of the interviews recorded. Interviewees include Ed Parker, Allen Veaner, Hank Epstein, John Schroeder, Tom Martin, Dick Guertin, Bill Kiefer, Louise Addis, and Lennie Stovel.

Biographical / historical:

SPIRES [Stanford Physics Information Retrieval System] was first developed to provide access to preprints of physics research; it then grew to be a broader based data management and retrieval tool, with the acronym meaning Stanford Public Information Retrieval System.
