Volume 3 contains commercial photographic prints taken in San Francisco during and after the disaster of 1906. Views show fires burning, earthquake and fire damage, refugees and refugee camps, cityscapes, and street kitchens. Included is a multi-section panorama taken from atop the Ferry Building. Among the locations and buildings pictured are Market St., Nob Hill, City Hall, Call Building, Tivoli Theatre, Palace Hotel, Golden Gate Park, St. Ignatius Church and College, South of Market district, Ferry Building, and Mission District. Photographers identified in the collection include "Cummings", J.B. Moller, and C.P. Magagnos. Also included is a pass signed by the Adjutant General of California (J.B. Lauck) permitting the bearer (I. Mayer) to cross official lines during the aftermath of the disaster.
