- The Allied Control Council or Allied Control Authority, also referred to as the Four Powers, was a military occupation governing body of the Allied Occupation Zones in Germany after the end of World War II in Europe. Following its establishment on August 30, 1945, the Council began issuing a series of laws, orders, proclamations and directives. The collection contains 13 broadsides and 2 gazettes issued by the Council beginning in 1945. The broadsides include Laws no. 1, 4, 5, 6, 15, 52 (General Order No. 1), 52 (General Licenses Nos. 1-5), 53, 76, and 191; and Ordinance nos. 1 and 2. Each is in German and English. Also included is the Official Gazette of the Control Council for Germany, no. 1-19 plus Supplement no. 1; and Military Government Gazette, Germany, Twelfth Army Group Area of Control, No. 2.

The Allied Control Council or Allied Control Authority, also referred to as the Four Powers, was a military occupation governing body of the Allied Occupation Zones in Germany after the end of World War II in Europe. Its members were the Soviet Union, the United States, and the United Kingdom; France was later added with a vote, but had no duties. The organization was based in Berlin. Following its establishment on August 30, 1945, the Council began issuing a series of laws, orders, proclamations and directives.
