This artificial collection was created by library staff and the history of each item may differ. The maps are mostly of Ventura County, but there are several other locations represented, including California, Oregon, and Arizona. The maps include aerial photographs, topographical maps, housing tract plans, and maps for roads, surveyors, rail lines, and equipment locations.

This collection does not have series and maps are described at the item level. Each map has been numbered and are in order by map number. In order to locate maps from this collection use the Collection of Maps Location Guide binder, which is in the Research Library. Any missing ranges in the map numbers may be found in the Hale map collection.

Stored at the MVC Research Library. All requests to access special collections can be made in advance by emailing the Research Library reference desk.
