Scope and content:

Art and personal papers of Camille O’Grady (1949-2020), a poet, musician, drag king, and “multimedium” artist who was active in New York City and San Francisco’s punk, art, and gay leather scenes. The collection includes hundreds of O’Grady’s sketches, drawings, and paintings from the 1990s and 2000s; 15, partially-filled journals from the 1990s and 2000s; and a small amount of correspondence dating from the 1970s through to the 2000s. The collection also includes some medical records featuring private health information. These are restricted until 2070.
