Scope and content:

Collection consists of correspondence, writings, lists, printed matter, photographs, and ephemera related to Russian secret service activities and dissident life. Includes copies of Soviet government orders regarding censorship; draft writings of Oleg Gordievsky including books reviews on titles related to the Soviet Union such as The Matrokhin Archive; and correspondence with prominent ex-Soviet dissidents such as Vladimir Bukovsky.

Box 3 and 9 closed until 2050 January 1. Box 4 closed until 2038 April 18. The remainder of the collection is open for research; materials must be requested in advance via our reservation system.
