Scope and content:

Series 1 consists of photographs both collected and taken by Richard H. Hendrickson from circa 1931-2014. It includes images of various equipment including automobile box cars, box cars flat cars, freight cars, gondola cars, hopper cars, locomotives, meat cars, refrigerator cars, stock cars, and tank cars. They are arranged by subject, and are in alphabetical order.

Of particular interest are Hendrickson's photographs of rolling stock that is no longer in use, including automobile box cars, meat cars, refrigerator cars, and stock cars.
