Please note that there are articles, exhibition announcements, and other material in addition to correspondence here, and that no correspondence is present for some listed individuals. The vast majority of letters are incoming, and some address Albert or the Lanier family. This series shares some material with personal and professional correspondence, Black Mountain College, and other series.

Access and use

- The materials are open for research use. Note that material must be requested at least 36 hours in advance of intended use. Selected audiovisual media have been reformatted and are available for access via the Special Collections Reading Room.
- Parent terms of access:
- While Special Collections is the owner of the physical and digital items, permission to examine collection materials is not an authorization to publish. These materials are made available for use in research, teaching, and private study. Any transmission or reproduction beyond that allowed by fair use requires permission from the owners of rights, heir(s) or assigns.
