The collection primarily consists of photographs, personal documents, and correspondence concerning Stashevsky and his family. He and his brother, Iurii, emigrated from Russia at the end of the Civil War, and eventually, other family members also departed Russia.

George (Georg) Stashevsky, a Russian émigré, was an architect, draughtsman, and illustrator for Disney animation studios. Born in St. Petersburg, Russia, in 1905, he passed away in 1997 in Los Angeles, California.
