Background

Scope and content:

The Bel Air Presbyterian Church Collection consists of sermon recordings in reel-to-reel and audiocassette formats. There is also a Holy Bible presented to Donn Moomaw from his congregation. Church service bulletins accompany corresponding reels in most instances. Reverand Donn Moomaw is the principal speaker. Recurring speakers include Deane Hendricks, Jim Smoke, Robert Lezear, Jr., Kenneth Working, Jr., and Howard F.M. Childers. The bulk of dates ranges from 1968-1980, with inclusive dates through 2000. Audio-visual materials are arranged in chronological order.Additional items of interest may include a handful of audiocassette recordings related to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). One recording is of the first FCA national conference at Estes Park, CO in 1956. Otto Graham (quarterback), Branch Rickey (executive of the Pittsburgh Pirates), and Doak Walker (halfback and kicker) participated in the event.
