Scope and content:

The collection consists of official portraits of the justices of the California Court of Appeal, First Appellate District, taken by Moulin Studios between the years 1962 and 2002. The collection is not a comprehensive pictorial record of the justices serving the court during this period. Photographic formats represented include negatives, prints, and contact sheets.

Acquisition information:
The collection was purchased from Moulin Studios by the California Court of Appeal, First Appellate District, in 2010, and transferred to the California Judicial Center Library, Special Collections Archives.
Arrangement:

Photographs are arranged in alphabetical order by the justice's last name.

Physical location:
All photographic negatives are stored in a refrigerator on site.

Collection is open for research upon approval of written request.
