The collection consists of scripts related to the career of actor Dick O'Neill. Included are a variety of scripts for television, motion picture, and stage productions. Television projects include episodic series and movies including Cagney and Lacey, Dark Justice, and Kaz. Motion picture scripts include MacArthur, Prizzi's Honor, and The Jerk. Stage productions include Inherit the Wind and Mouse Trap. Also included are a small amount of call sheets for television and motion picture projects.

Richard F. O'Neill was born Aug. 29, 1928 in Bronx, NY. His list of credits include various Broadway and motion picture productions. He is best remembered for his role as Charlie Cagney on the television series, Cagney and Lacey. O'Neill died in November 1998.
