Scope and content:

This collection consists of English and Spanish instructional materials from Harry E. Babbitt's company Babbitt Instructional Resources, along with issues of the publications La Aventura de la Historia purchased from B.I.R. The instructional materials are in both English and Spanish and include one pamphlet of transcripts and possible questions for instruction and one cassette tape of recorded lectures per box. There lectures focus on the art, history, and culture of Spain and Latin America, with a majority of materials focusing on Diego Rivera. The publication La Aventura de la Historia include issues 3 to 164. There is also one box of DVD lectures and one box of posters and cards.

Biographical / historical:

Babbitt Instructional Resources was a Texas based company that specialized in the printing, recording, and distribution of teaching materials related to the histories and cultures of Spain, Latin America, and South America for a high school audience. Materials were available in both English and Spanish.

Publications purchased for the Boeckmann Center by Barbara Robinson in 2011.
