Scope and content:: This collection consists of 182 production videocassettes (U-matic) from The Comedy Shop television series (1978-1983).
Biographical / historical:: The Comedy Shop television series was a syndicated comedy show that ran from 1978 to 1983. Hosted by Norm Crosby, the half-hour show featured five to six aspiring comedians in three minute stand-up routines, as well as better known special guests.
