Charmaine Burdell is the descendant of several Marin and Sonoma County pioneers, including James Black, Galen Burdell, and Domingo Sais. Many of the original land grants in Marin were granted to these families, including Rancho Nicasio, Rancho Olompali, Cañada de Herrera.
