The Robert D. Farquhar drawings span three linear feet and date 1929. The collection consists of one flat file folder containing eight architectural drawings of Beverly Hills High School in Beverly Hills, California. Drawings in the form of reprographic copies include: elevations; first and second floor framing plans; framing plan of the second floor ceiling; roof framing plan; sections; first floor plan; and foundation plan.

Robert David Farquhar was born on February 23, 1872. He attended Harvard University where he studied architecture. Farquhar went on to study at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1893 to 1895, followed by the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, France from 1896 to 1901. Out of school in 1901, Farquhar found work as a draftsman for the firm Hunt and Hunt in New York. He then worked as a designer for Carrere and Hastings from 1902 to 1903. In 1905, Farquhar established his own firm in Los Angeles, California. Farquhar retired in 1953 and died in 1967. Over the course of his career his more notable projects include: Beverley Hills High School in California, the Clark Library at the University of California, Los Angeles, Harold McCormick House in Beverly Hills, California, and the library at the University of Nevada at Reno.
