Biographical / historical:

San Francisco FrontRunners is an LGBTQ+ running and walking club. The organization traces its roots to Lavender U founded in 1973. The first run took place in 1974 in Golden Gate Park. It has since evolved into a worldwide confederation of social and athletic clubs. Member Bob Callori has written an extensive history of the organization that is available online at www.sffr.org/history. A narrative timeline and digitized primary sources are included on the site.

The collection was donated to the GLBT Historical Society in 2017 by Bob Callori.
