The Institute for the Future (IFTF) is a non-profit strategic futures organization located in Palo Alto, California. The IFTF was founded in 1968 by a group of former RAND Corporation researchers with a grant from the Ford Foundation.

Open for research. Note that material must be requested at least 36 hours in advance of intended use. Most reports (those in the Accession 2017-188) have been scanned and are available digitally from https://searchworks.stanford.edu/view/4083255. Digital copies of Special Reports are embargoed for 75 years and are not available online. Special reports are available for viewing in the Reading Room, however, but they may not be reproduced.
