Summary

Abstract:
Crown Point is a small peninsula in San Diego with Mission Bay in the south, Sail Bay in the West, and Fiesta Bay in the East. The Crown Point properties were one of the first properties in the area. The developers of this property tried to gain attention by offering low prices, unique location, proximity to water activities, and the most controversial being, the “restrictions.” The developers blatantly mentioned imposing restrictions on encroachments made by people from races other than white or Caucasian. Not unique to that time, this redlining was used as a selling point in the developers’ promotional campaign.
