arriet Rohmer is the founder, publisher, and executive Director of Children's Book Press in San Francisco, California, the pioneering non-profit press devoted to publishing multicultural and bilingual literature for children. Her creative vision has shaped the development of more than sixty critically acclaimed books, including Just Like Me: Stories and Self-Portraits by Fourteen Artists. Rohmer lives in San Francisco, California. When Childrenโ€™s Book Press was started by Harriet Rohmer in 1975, she stated โ€œmy dream was for all children to be able to open a book and see themselves.โ€
