Scope and content:

This digital collection includes oral history interviews (accompanied by scanned images and documents) documenting the lives of Soviet Chinese and Koreans in the Russian Far East during the time of forced deportation in the late 1930s. Also includes scanned copies of photograph albums and maps relating to life on kolkhozes (collective farms) in Uzbekistan, as well as copies of research materials from Russian state archives and the soviet newspaper "Krasnoye Znamya" (Red Banner).
