Abstract:
The East Los Angeles Community Union (TELACU) is dedicated to the development of Los Angeles County. Founded in 1968, TELACU is a non-profit community development corporation with a mission to create greater opportunities, services, and affordable housing in undeserved communities. TELACU also provides scholarships for Latino students through the Latino Education Foundation.

This series is comprised of audiovisual materials dating from 1972-1975. Film formats include Sony video tapes for helical scan video recorders (V-32) and a video cassette. The bulk of material documents Maravilla P.A.C. Meetings and the plans for the Delphi Community. Subjects include Esteban Ed Torres during his congressional campaign and slides of L.A. County.

TELACU also provides scholarships for Latino students through the Latino Education Foundation.

The Collection is comprised of surveys, community development and environmental plans, proposals, contracts, correspondence, photographs, and film. Community plans consist of health care center construction plans, road construction and worker rights assistance.
