Scope and content:

The collection contains 79 bound volumes of issues of the Daily Recorder dating from 1914 to 1979, except issues from 1941 and 1942.

Biographical / historical:

The Daily Recorder was founded in Sacramento in 1911. It publishes public and legal notices, and government advertising, along with news articles. The newspaper continues to be published five days a week.

Donated by the Daily Recorder in 2002 (accession 2002/109).
