-
Thomas A. Sanchez served as Los Angeles County Supervisor, 1857-1859 and as Sheriff of Los Angeles County, 1860-1867.
Information from "History of California" by Hubert Howe Bancroft states that before the end of 1845, Mission San Fernando was leased to Andres Pico and Juan Manso for $1,120. "The mission had been rented in 1845 to Pico and Manso, who apparently held possession in 1846-8, though the property was sold in June 1846--subject to the lease, I suppose--to Eulogio Celis for $14,000, the title of Celis being in later years confirmed."
