Typewritten from Miyoko Takagi in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Charles H. Lewis of Mt. Vernon (WA) Junior College, dated January
30, 1943, along with a typewritten reply from Lewis to Takagi dated February 4, 1943. Takagi thanks Lewis for helping to get
her release from Tule Lake Relocation Center to Minneapolis, and the two catch up on their family lives.

Miyoko Takagi was born in Burlington, Washinton in 1918, from one of two japanese families living in that city. She attended
Mt. Vernon Junior College and graduated from the University of Washington in 1939. Interned in 1942 with her family at Tule
Lake, she was released in 1943 and went to Minneapolis, Minnesota.
