Abstract:
Letters written by Joshua H. Corwin of Mount Hope, NY to his father and brother during the Mexican War. Corwin was a private
in Light Company, Second Regiment, U.S. Artillery. The letters relate his voyage out, his experiences at Corpus Christi, St.
Joseph Island, and Fort Brown in Texas, and describe his unit's action at Matamoras, Palo Alto, Resaca de la Palma, Monterrey,
and Vera Cruz.
