Creator/Contributor:
Borden, John W., creator
Abstract:
The colophon for the publication 'Brief memoir of Mr. Thomas Bewick' states "Letterpress by the In-Time Press which is an
occasionally working partnership of Time, Inclination & John Borden". Borden began printing sometime in the 1940s and was
still active six decades later. Much of his work was personal, produced for friends and associates who received his holiday
cards each year. Some items also served a practical purpose such as the change of address cards that documented his household
moves over the years or the invitations to gatherings or announcements of his travel plans. Other items represented in this
collection were prepared for wider distribution to Borden's fellow club members at the Roxburghe Club of San Francisco.
The collection of ca. 120 items is organized as follows: Holiday cards: 1940s - 2001; Roxburghe Club: announcements, keepsakes,
menus; Announcements: change of address, press, clubs; Invitations; Napkins; Travel; Family; Misc.
