Scope and content:

Papers in this record group were generated by the two antecedents to the department as well as by the department itself. They include MALDEF tax records, correspondence from MALDEF presidents, and memoranda related to the running of the San Francisco office; there are also personnel files and grant proposals for the San Francisco office

Biographical / historical:

In 1978 the Accounting and Administration Department was formed by combining many of the administrative tasks of the President's office with the work done by the accounting office.
