    Biography

    Adams was born on June 7, 1905 in Minneapolis, Minnesota; BS, Princeton, 1929; MD, Columbia, 1933; Ph.D, University of Minnesota, 1943; taught at University of Minnesota from 1939-50; professor of pediatrics at UCLA, 1950-72; specialist in immunology, multiple sclerosis, and sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS); Chairman, Department of Pediatrics, UCLA, 1950-64; director of American Board of Pediatrics from 1960-66; author of over 100 scholarly articles.
