The collection consists of holograph letters signed from various persons to the Reverend Ebsworth of Edinburgh. Included are
letters from John Francis, 1892-1904; 2 letters from Kenneth Grahame; notes from F.J. Furnivall, which concern Ebsworth's
editing of the
Roxburghe Ballads, Part 24, vol.8, Hertford, 1896. Also, holograph notes by Ebsworth on ballads and religious subjects.
