Series 4: Business Records
- Identifier:
- Archival Resource Key
- Scope and content:
-
Creeley's Business Records include letters to him from his editors and publishers, royalty statements, correspondence about public appearances, readings, and lectures, personal financial records and household expenses, documentation about his overseas fellowships, as well as a vast collection of Creeley's miscellaneous notes, jottings, and calculations, none of which ever seem to have been discarded. This series is arranged into four subseries.
Each subseries is arranged chronologically, then alphabetically by folder title. The last two subseries (Overseas Business and Readings) were added with later accessions of Creeley's papers and are thus not the exclusive locus of documents pertaining to his time abroad or his public appearances. For his early overseas business, consult the correspondence subseries (a), Series 1: Correspondence, or the Divers Press documents. For information about his earliest public appearances, prior to the mid 1980s, consult the Correspondence series.
