Series 3: Manuscripts By Others
- Identifier:
- Archival Resource Key
- Scope and content:
-
Creeley regularly receives drafts of manuscripts from friends, colleagues, biographers, essayists, academics, publishing houses, students, and admirers of his work, requesting advice, book jacket blurbs, or simply a sympathetic reader. He has also served as a reader on several literary prize committees. All of the manuscripts by others are house here. Creeley assiduously kept the correspondence from the authors together with their manuscripts, as we do here.
Manuscripts by Others received by Creeley while he was editor of either the Black Mountain Review or the Divers Press (e.g. Early manuscripts by Fielding Dawson) are housed with other BMR / Divers Press materials in Series 5.
Manuscripts by Others are arranged alphabetically by Author, then chronologically by title.
