The audiovisual formats are organized in the following order:
Audiocassettes
Reel-to-reel tapes
Sound discs ; 12 in.
Sound discs ; 7 in.
Compact discs
Videocassettes ; 1/2 in.
Film
The audiocassettes are organized with Creeley recordings first, organized chronologically, then alphabetically by author and title, then roughly alphabetically by label information when neither author nor title information is available.
All the other formats are organized alphabetically by author.

Access and use
- Parent restrictions:

Open for research except for restricted materials and unprocessed addenda.
Born-digital materials are processed and may be viewed online with the exception of those that have access restrictions. Restricted materials may be viewed in the Field Reading Room at Green Library or by contacting specialcollections@stanford.edu
Private material is closed until 1 January 2085.
