Scope and content:

Speeches, articles, memoranda, press statements, notes, and manuscript drafts and galleys of books written by Herbert Hoover or edited by him, as well as book reviews of books by Herbert Hoover. This series does not duplicate material contained in the previous series. Speeches, articles, memoranda, press statements, and notes are listed first and arranged in chronological order. Manuscript drafts and galleys of books constitute a second subseries and are arranged alphabetically by title.

Access and use

Parent restrictions:
Boxes 382, 384, and 391 closed. Boxes 395, 398-405, FH5, and FH25 may not be used without permission of the Archivist. The remainder of the collection is open for research; materials must be requested in advance via our reservation system. If there are audiovisual or digital media material in the collection, they must be reformatted before providing access.
