Description
Collection consists of scripts, photographs and production materials such as script files, correspondence, publicity, music cue sheets, memos, and contracts related to Bud Yorkin Productions, Inc. Also includes material from Toy Productions and from the unproduced series, "Five Women."
Background
Alan Bud Yorkin was born in Washington, PA, Feb. 22, 1926; BS, Carnegie Mellon Univ., graduate work at Columbia Univ., English Literature; began his career in television at NBC (1950) and went on to produce and direct a variety of shows including "All In The Family," "Sanford And Son," and "Carter Country"; co-founded Tandem Productions with Norman Lear (1959) and later went on to form Bud Yorkin Productions (1974); he is the recipient of numerous awards including six Emmys.
